After 34 years of impunity, began on Monday April 12 the trial of guards and doctors responsible nearly a hundred murders, disappearances and torture from 1976 to 1979. The case was initiated in April 2002 by former Trial Attorney for the Truth, Félix Crous, who after examining the testimonies of the prosecution filed a criminal complaint against the owner of the Federal Court N ° 1 de La Plata.
Yesterday at 11:00 noon Judge Carlos Rozanski, President the Oral Criminal Court No. 1 Federal de La Plata, began the trial of cases against humanity committed by 11 guards and 3 doctors in Buenos Aires prison unit No. 9.
The hearings will, from today, Monday and Tuesday of the next four months, and are held in the former AMIA building, on Calle 4 between 53 and 54 of the City of Silver. Will there to witness more than 200 people deprived of freedom between 1976 and 1983.

The defendants in the trial are on one side the prison NCOs who were in charge of the unit, and the other doctors who played a key role for the scaffolding of repression, giving the approval and endorsement for the continued torture. The three doctors are accused Carlos Juri, Corsi and Luis Enrique Favola, 61, 64 and 65. The 11 prisons that are in the dock are: Abel Dupuy, Elizabethan Vega, Victor Rivers, Elio Marcosa, Jorge Perata, Valentin Romero, Hector Acuña, Ramon Fernandez, Andres Basualdo, Catalino Rabaneira Morel and Raul.
The causes of the plaintiffs are: homicide and unlawful deprivation of liberty of Dardo Carbo, Rufino Pirlo (both killed during a transfer), Horacio Rapaport, Georgiadis and Julio Cesar Angel Urien; storm followed by death Marcos Ibañez, illegal deprivation of Guillermo free Segalli, Gonzalo Carranza and Miguel Dominguez (all disappeared) and Horace Micucci, John Distefano and John Gramano, also are accused of killing Juan Carlos Delhi, the torments of death followed by Alberto Pinto, who suffered from epilepsy, and was instrumental in the decision of Dr. Corsi, who signed for the prisoner continues to be tortured in a "mailbox of death" and finally die in a hospital.
