What To Say For Death Anniversary

The first DC Windows Server 2008 R2 R2

To use the first Windows Server 2008 R2 on a network, there are no prerequisites. The operating system can coexist with older versions. But when the function to be fulfilled is Domain Controler, there are some prerequisites to be met.

a) There can be Windows NT 4.0 and BDC in red.Deben be removed prior to all DC Windows 2000 Server, as the minimum required version level Domain and Forest functionality to have Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 is Windows 2000 Native.

b) We must prepare the Forest and Domain to support the inclusion of the new version of SOIncluso if the Forest was prepared for Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2008 R2, the schema is different.

Windows 2000 -> Version 13
Windows 2003 -> Version 30
Windows 2003R2 -> Version 31
Windows 2008 -> Version 44
Windows 2008R2 -> Version 47

Windows Server 2008 R2 only 64-bits, but includes a version of adprep that works in 32 bits (called adprerp32) in case the network structure where you only want to run 32-bit DC.

To prepare the Forest, the Schema Master run:
adprerp / forestprep

To prepare the domain, the Infrastructure Master run:
adprep / domainprep

For which team meets functions Schema Master and Infrastructure Master run:
netdom query fsmo

The 32 bits of "adprep" is used in the same way, just remember that is called "adprep32", both are in the same directory DVD in Windows Server 2008 R2.

c) The level domain must be at least Windows 2000 Nativo.Preparar the Forest or Domain does not raise the level of functionality by itself, must be raised manually.
